Invitation to Bid
Sealed bids from qualified General Contractors for the construction of an access road located at 1164 Virginia Ave., Hot Springs, VA 24445. Responses will be received at the Office of the County Administrator, P.O. Box 309, 65 Courthouse Hill Rd., Warm Springs, VA 24484, until 4 p.m., local time on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The planned construction generally consists of developing a gravel access road to the Animal Shelter. The access road will be 330 feet long and 18 feet wide with 2-foot shoulders, covered with eight (8) inches of #57 gravel. Use 40-foot 18-inch HTPE pipe smooth wall inside for drainage. Shale for back fill is available to be dug out of the shale pit adjacent to the worksite. The ditch line must be cleared for proper drainage.
Bath County reserves the right to reject any and or all bids, to waive any informalities in any bid, and to award the contract to someone other than the lowest bidder if in the best interest. The County encourages minority and female firms to apply.
