Pets Available for Adoption

Adopting a pet from the Bath County Animal Shelter means opening your home to an animal who's ready for a fresh start. Every cat and dog here receives attentive care, is spayed or neutered, and is kept up to date on vaccinations before going home, ensuring a healthy beginning to their new life.

Whether you’re looking for a playful companion or a gentle soul who just needs a safe place to land, you’ll find animals who are eager to bond and become part of your family. The shelter team is committed to helping you make the right match, and each adoption helps create space and opportunity for the next animal in need.

 Zeus

Zeus - a handsome 4-year-old neuter male pitbull looking for his forever home. He's strong, affectionate, full of personality, and always ready to be by your side. He would thrive in a home that can give him love, structure, and lots of activity. Zeus is better suited for a home with no small children.
Penelope Penelope - This loveable pup is happiest lounging on the couch, taking naps, and going on easy walks.  She has a calm, laid-back personality and would be perfect for someone looking for a mellow companion rather than a high energy dog. She walks perfectly on a leash and enjoys easy strolls.
Cats Available of Adoption
Female READY TO BE ADOPTED - Friendly female – scared and will need time to adjust to the new home. She doesn’t like young children but will do fine in a house with older kids and adults.

Black and White Male 1Black and White Male 1 – READY FOR ADOPTION - Friendly. Loves belly rubs and could be an inside cat. He is a cuddle bug and would love to be in a home where someone would love on him.

Black and White Male 2Black and White Male 2 – READY FOR ADOPTION -Semi-feral. Does not like to be messed with. Is coming around - Will need to be adopted as a barn cat/mouser.

Grey and White Female 6Grey and White Female 6 – READY TO BE ADOPTED - Friendly. She is a shy girl and has started coming around to be pet. She gets scared easily but is a sweet cat. Could potentially be an inside cat if acclimated correctly.

Calico FemaleCalico Female 4 – READY TO BE ADOPTED – friendly but shy. She does accept pets but is still a bit standoffish. She loves to hide. We recommend outside barn cat unless acclimated correctly.
White and Brown MaleWhite and Brown with Black Stripes Male 4 – Friendly. Does approach for pets now however we still believe he would do best as a friendly barn cat/mouser. 

Grey and White Female Grey and White Female – super friendly does appreciate some pets. She loves being pet and is very curious. Can be an inside cat.
