The Bath County Economic Development Authority will offer small business grants up to a maximum of $10,000 per application. The annual budget of $50,000 will not be exceeded. An eligible business may be a corporation, S corporation, LLC, partnership or sole proprietorship. Non-profits are not eligible for this grant.
The program seeks to encourage entrepreneurship, support our local small businesses, support the creation or retention of local jobs, improve the quality and viability of underutilized commercial properties, encourage long-term business operation within Bath County and increase the tax base for the county. The grants are reimbursement-based for facilities improvement and expansion, equipment purchase, marketing and publicity, and other capital or growth-related expenditures approved by the EDA consistent with program goals.
